Metropolitan Health Care Self-Insured Group provides workers' compensation insurance coverage to our members. A member typically places an initial deposit into the group and makes monthly premium payments based on their payrolls. The policy period is October 1 - September 30; and the monthly reports and premiums are due on the 20th of each month. As an example, the payroll period for the month of October is due on November 20.

One of the highlights has been our dividend/ premium return payout. Since 2007 members were paid $9.59 million in return premiums. With an aggressive approach to managing claims, returned premiums in the form of dividends were returned to participating members. It pays to be a member of Metro!
Claims & Risk Management
MHCSIG provides a staff that manages a claim to a successful conclusion. Each claim is assigned to an experienced claim examiner who works closely with the injured worker, the medical care provider, and the employer to bring about a favorable resolution. Our partner for claims and risk management is Anchor Claims Management.
Claims are managed from the onset of a work-related accident. From in-house, experienced administrators to a team of claims adjusters all claims are constantly monitored until the case is closed. Tools to help you reduce the potential for an accident in the workplace are also available.
Loss Control & Safety
The first line of savings is the prevention of injuries in the work environment. On-site risk visits are conducted at a member's request and as determined by risk and experience analysis. Other services include injury, case management, training materials and seminars and experience modifier analyusis.
